NAVEDO FAMILY FOUNDATION
The foundation of the prominent Puerto Rican businessman, Mr. Melvin M. Navedo, is an outstanding example of effort, dedication and commitment to his community and the socioeconomic development of the island.
He has always had a clear purpose in his life, both privately and professionally: to provide the best example and chart a path full of hope and love for all Puerto Rican families, helping them achieve their dreams through the acquisition of their new homes. After a professional career as an accountant, he decided to take on a new challenge in the world of real estate, becoming the founder of Melvin M. Navedo Real Estate, a company that has carried his vision for 26 years on our island.
Melvin M. Navedo has reciprocated the support of his clients by providing free guidance through different newspapers in the country, reporting on a variety of current topics in the field of Real Estate. Currently, Mr. Melvin M. Navedo works as a Real Estate Investment Advisor, Mortgage Investment Advisor, Real Estate Instructor, Investor and as owner and president of Latin American Financial Corporation Banco Hipotecario, being the youngest CEO of a mortgage bank In Puerto Rico.
Over the course of his more than 26 years of experience as a businessman, Mr. Navedo has had the opportunity to help countless talented young people get on their way both personally and professionally. From there arises his most recent community project, Navedo Family Foundation, a non-profit organization with private capital - established by the businessman in 2022, together with his wife and also his businesswoman, Yaritza and his daughters, Ariana, Elienai and Yuliana.
The mission of this foundation is to empower youth communities, promoting social justice in Puerto Rico and achieving equal access to socioeconomic development opportunities in our country. Navedo Family Foundation seeks to be an option for young Puerto Ricans to identify their gifts or talents and develop them for their professional or business growth.
Currently the foundation is working on a project called “Navedo Young Innovation Challenge”, with fourth-year high school students, in several towns on the island.
To date, the message has been brought to more than 300 students from the José S. Alegría, Adolfina Irizarry de Puig, Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos, and María Teresa Piñeiro schools, among others.
This challenge will allow students to develop innovative solutions and new projects in various areas. The winners will be recognized and awarded in a ceremony that will be held on April 9, 2024.
Next Thursday, November 9, Mr. Navedo will celebrate the Foundations first cocktail party at the "Todo Vino" facilities, located in Amelia Ind. Park in Guaynabo. During this event, new projects for the year 2024 will be presented, and will feature the participation of renowned businessmen and organizations from Puerto Rico.
